Well, I was wrong.
Again.
I guess I don't know men at all.
Much to my surprise, Brad did not go with Chantal; rather, he chose America's Sweetheart, Emily.
I also have an admission to make.
I like Brad. A lot.
In fact, I think he's my favorite bachelor.
Granted, he left me with no good material for my blog, but I like the guy. Respect him, even.
Unlike the bachelors before him, Brad was not a pig dog.
There was no dry humping in the hot tub (I guess that would make it wet humping?).
There were no back-to-back make-out sessions.
Brad seemed to always speak from the heart. He did not lead the girls on.
In fact, I knew he was going to pick Emily halfway through the show, when he told her he wanted to be a good dad to her daughter.
The sad part is, though, Brad and Emily may or may not be together now. On the After the Final Rose, both admitted that they had broken up, but they're back together now.
Looking back, I thought Emily was aloof and cold because she was trying to protect herself.
Now, though, I'm not so sure she's as sweet as we all thought she was.
Let's just hope that the upcoming Bachelor Pad 2 and The Bachelorette are a bit more scandalous than this season.
And Brad? I love you. I honestly love you.
But only as friends.

Well he bored the snot out of me. So they weren't together at the end? Or they were? I'm cornfused. I really think that they were just saying they were together so people wouldn't think the entire season was a flop.
ReplyDeleteReality Steve re-nigged his original thoughts about Chantel 2 weeks ago and said Emily was the one... I was in shock. I give them 2 days. Maybe.
ReplyDeleteI think you are on to something there regarding Emily. She is probably a lovely person (who am I to judge) but I think there is more to all the walls she kept putting up. And what was with her clearly wearing that "JRH" bracelet in several of the pre-proposal scenes? Seriously, what guy has a longterm chance of a succeding in a relationship with a girl that wears a wrist shrine to another guy? Just saying.

Aww...but wasn't it nice to have a sweet love story? I knew was going to pick her, when he didn't want to kiss her during his visit to her house. I think they're a better match than he and Chantal. He and Emily seem to be on the same quiet wavelength, though both are skittish and may end up breaking it off anyway.
ReplyDeleteSomething also makes me think that Emily is a lot like his mother, which may have influenced his decision. Aww...but he was in love with her from the beginning. It seemed he was always gushing about her.

ReplyDeleteI don't really know what I think about Brad. I appreciate that he was sweet to all the women who CRIED CONSTANTLY! I do love that he wasn't kinky with a lot of them and seemed genuinely sweet. He just wasn't... overly... bright. LoL

But I did tune in for the finale episode and I actually cried when he picked out the engagement ring! Oh poor Chantal!

Personally, I think Brad is a bastard in disguise.
